2010 Important Info. for Attendees

IMPORTANT INFORMATION Regarding Parking, Transportation Options, & Informal Portfolio Review:

IMPORTANT NOTE: The conference is being held in the San Diego City College Photography Department (CTC Bldg), 16^th and Broadway. This is NOT the main SDCC campus – see links to maps below.

- Please join us for coffee prior to the Saturday program in the vendors room V-413 in the CTC building. On Saturday registration is open from 8:30am at San Diego City College. Registration badges will also be available 30 minutes prior to all the Friday wokshops/tours/lectures. On Friday from 4pm – 6pm, please join the faculty of SDCC for an exhibition of their work in the fifth floor gallery of the CTC building.

MOPA Parking Information (In Balboa Park):

Park in the Inspiration Point parking lot (on the east side of Park Blvd., between Presidents Way and the Balboa Park Activity Center) for easy access to the heart of Balboa Park via the free tram. There are also numerous smaller lots throughout the Park, including the lot next to the Museum’s east side, the south Carousel Lot on Village Place and Park Blvd. and the north Carousel Lot. Valet parking is offered for $10 in front of the House of Hospitality (and The Prado restaurant) in the Plaza de Panama. Hours of service are: Tuesday through Thursday from 5 PM through 10 PM; Friday from 5 PM through midnight; Saturday from 10 AM through Midnight; Sunday from 10 AM. through 10 PM. There is no valet parking on Mondays.

*MoPA is 14 and the House of Hospitality is i, where the valet is.

Parking at San Diego City College (SDCC) (NOT SDCC main campus, it is at 16th and Broadway, further south):

Conference Parking

The campus will be officially closed due to the holiday weekend. This means that the large parking structure located near the conference center will be closed. Attendees may park at any campus parking lot locations without purchasing daily permits as parking restrictions will not be enforced due to the holiday. However, DO NOT PARK AT ANY METERED SPOTS. Metered parking will be enforced. The only parking rules not in effect are permit requirements. Officers will issue citations for any other violations.
