2010 Graduate Student Critique
- The critique session held on Saturday, Nov. 13th – 12:45-2:45PM will give a select group of graduate students the opportunity to display their work and be critiqued by a larger audience of graduate and undergraduate students attending the conference. The critique will provide these students a chance to meet each other and exchange ideas about their work and graduate programs. Other students are welcome to attend the critique, including BA and BFA students who may be considering graduate schools in the region.
To be involved:
- GRADUATE STUDENTS: If you would like to be considered for this opportunity to have your work critiqued at the conference and are a currently enrolled graduate student who is attending the conference, please contact Rebecca Sittler Schrock at rsittler@csulb.edu.
- FACULTY STUDENT NOMINATIONS: Please send your nominations to Rebecca Sittler Schrock (or self-nominations) and email addresses by October 15th. Nominations from faculty are also welcome. Students will be contacted to ensure that they are attending.
- UNDERGRADUATES & INTERESTED ATTENDEES OF CRITIQUE: If you would like to attend (but not have your work critiqued), please sign up when you register for the conference. Space is limited for this component as well — so register early to secure a spot.
Additional Details:
To maintain the quality of the critique, all participants need to attend the entire session. Space is limited. Efforts will be made to represent a variety of programs in the region and to honor faculty /program recommendations. A wait list will be established for additional student nominations.
The critique is currently scheduled for 12:45-2:45 on Saturday, November 13. A box lunch will be provided as part of the conference registration fee, and we have scheduled this over the lunch break so that students will be able to participate in as much of the larger conference as possible while still attending the critique session.
